CHLORINE gas leaked from a chemical plant Friday has hospitalized 27 children in Guizhou Province, the local government said yesterday.
A total of 106 students from Yuantian Primary School near Zunbao Titanium Plant and other children living near the factory sought treatment for complaints of nausea, stomach ache and chest distress, but most were allowed to go home yesterday morning.
The 27 serious cases are under observation at three local hospitals.
