Giant panda shows its carnivorous side

A giant panda wandered into a village in southwestern Sichuan Province and stole a lamb from a villager named Gou Bihua during the Spring Festival, local forestry officials said on Sunday.
Officials in Baoxing County said Gou's nephew and brother-in-law went to check newborn lambs in his sheepfold in Jianlian Village when they encountered the intruder that was chewing on a lamb.
Not wanting to disturb the panda, they left quietly and called Gou. Gou then reported to the local forestry bureau. Afterwards, he and a village leader went to the spot to check.
Alarmed by the arrival of villagers, the panda went uphill, holding the lamb in its mouth.
