Giraffe house catches fire at Nanjing zoo

THE giraffe house at a zoo in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province, caught fire around 9am today after aged electric wires apparently ignited the animals' feed.
The fire was brought under control in a short period of time and caused no injuries or deaths among the animals at Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo, Nanjing Municipal Travel Bureau reported today.
Junko, the star of the giraffe house, is in a good condition and the house has reopened to the public, the administration said.
