Girl, 15, kills grandma and burns their house
A 15-year-old girl in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province was held by police for killing her grandma and burning the house to destroy her criminal evidence, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported today.
Guangzhou police said the girl surnamed Wang allegedly choked her 60-plus-year-old grandma surnamed Hou to death on Saturday night, set the house ablaze and escaped around 11pm.
Neighbors said there were also knife wounds in Hou's body and a bloody trail in the garden.
They said the girl's parents were divorced and she was living with her grandparents. But she had a bad relationship with her grandma and they often quarreled.
Wang was captured the next morning. She confessed that she choked Hou to death in a fight and burned the house to destroy her criminal evidence.
