Girl gang-raped by teens in their mistaken revenge bid

POLICE are on the hunt for suspects after a 14-year old was abducted and suspected of being gang-raped by over 10 men on Monday night in the Guangdong city of Wuchuan, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported today.

The victim, a native of Wuchuan, identified as Xiaowen, said the rapists, who were seeking revenge against another girl, misidentified and attacked her. After being gang-raped in 3 different areas, one of the rapists realized they had attacked the wrong girl, and she was released, according to report.

Xiaowen was on her way home with two relatives around 11:45pm on Monday when several motorcycles suddenly pulled up at high speed and yelled at them to stop as they crossed a bridge.

Before they could respond, one of the suspects knocked the trio off their motorcycle. While the two cousins were able to escape on foot, Xiao Wen was too frightened to move.

Xiaowen said the suspects took her to a secluded area near the seaside, and five people raped her on a grassy patch. The sound of passing motorcycles forced the group to move a more secluded area where the same group raped her again. The sound of incoming footsteps forced them again to relocate, and the group raped her one last time before she was finally released.

A hospital check-up confirmed the rape and other injuries suffered in the attack.

Yesterday, authorities confirmed the arrest of a 17-year old in connection with the crime. The suspect had already been detained for a separate attack on another 14-year old girl, but had just confessed to the attack on Xiaowen and her relatives.

Police are still searching for the other men involved in the gang rape.
