Girl raped in public toilet, suspect nabbed

A 14-year-old girl was raped in a public toilet in Dongguan, southern Guangdong Province for nearly two hours last Monday, today's Nanfang Daily reported.
Community patrols checked the toilet while the girl was held by the rapist but failed to notice anything wrong, local police told the media after the case was reported.
A female cleaner found one cubicle was locked for a long time and asked if the person inside needed help. She did not hear any sound from the girl. Later, the cleaner forcibly opened the door and a young man rushed out and fled.
The cleaner then saw the girl who was naked and leaning on the wall with her hands tied up. The cleaner cried out for help. A delivery man heard her cry and called the police.
Police arrived two minutes later, covered the girl with a piece of cloth and sent her to a hospital.
The suspect was caught in Xi'an in northwestern Shaanxi Province on Saturday. He is 19 years old, from Guizhou Province. Police investigation is still ongoing.
