Girls beaten for disturbing nap

A DOCTOR with a primary school clinic in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has been suspended after beating nine girls who she said had disrupted her nap.
The girls, all 4th grade pupils with the Tumd Left Banner School - a boarding school in Hohhot, the region's capital - went to the clinic to get some medicine during the lunch break on Friday to cure their cold, the local newspaper Beifang Xinbao reported yesterday.
He Xiuqing, the doctor in her 40s who was having a nap at the clinic, was awoken by the girls and got angry. The girls were frightened and ran back to their dormitories.
She chased them to the dorms and took three of them who had knocked at the door back to her clinic and slapped them until they named the others.
She then brought all the nine girls to the clinic, yelled at them, slapped them and beat them with an iron rod for about an hour.
"We were scared and even knelt down to beg her to forgive us but she didn't let us go until it was the time for the examination," one girls said.
The girl said He used a burning iron rod to warn them not to tell their parents and the school about the beating.
Doctors at a local hospital said all of them suffered bruises and some complained of dizziness and headache.
