Google map helps abducted boy find home 23 years later

THANKS to Google Map, a man who was abducted at the age of five found way home 23 years later, The Strait Herald reported.

Luo Gang said his childhood memory was blurry but he still remembered the two bridges in his village in western Sichuan Province. He forced him to recall the past every night as he never gave up going home although his foster parents in Sanming, coastal Fujian Province treated him well.

Luo drew a map of his hometown last October and posted it on "Baby Back Home" (www.baobeihuijia.com), a website that helps parents locate their abducted children.

On April 25 this year, a volunteer told him that a couple in Pingqiao Village in Sichuan lost their son. Luo checked the pictures of the village and found it familiar. He then checked Google Map and saw the two bridges. "Here it is! My home," he said.

The volunteer visited the village the next day and learned that a couple lost their son 23 years ago. A DNA test identified the couple as Luo's biological parents.

Luo said he would not move back to Sichuan but promised to take care of both families.
