Government guards fired for kicking complainant

TWO security guards at a government building in southwest China have been sacked after kicking a woman to prevent her lodging a complaint to the government.

Liao Fuping and Zhu Daguo's actions harmed the local government's image, a Party official from Kaixian County in Chongqing Municipality told today's China News Service.

An investigation was launched after an online post showed pictures of a middle-aged woman being kicked by the two guards, Party official Xu Wenpei told CNS.

A passer-by took the photos of them beating Yin Xianqiaong, who had been crying with officials all day inside the offices, the report said.

The local government has since solved all the issues Yin complained about, Xu told CNS.
