Guangdong legislator sacked, accused of molesting 2 teens
A former Guangdong Province legislator, accused of attempting to rape two middle school girls and compelling them to touch him sexually, was arrested in Jiangmen city in Guangdong on July 18, South CN.com reported.
The 50-year-old suspect, named Huang Baolin, was a member of the Jiangmen People's Congress.
He is accused of enticing two girls, aged 15 and 13, with money to touch him sexually at a hotel four times starting on June 13, police said. He also attempted to rape the girls, they told police.
The girls' parents contacted police because they were missing and they were found on July 5 in a hotel where Huang had taken them in Jiangmen.
Huang was caught at the hotel that same day. Police said Huang admitted that he had molested the girls.
Jiangmen Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has ratified the criminal arrest of Huang by police and he has been disqualified as a provincial legislator.
