Guangxi boulder probe
A “COMPREHENSIVE” inspection of geological risks in Guilin, south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, where seven people were crushed to death by a falling boulder on Thursday got under way yesterday. The investigation will focus on potentially perilous rocks at popular tourist attractions, the city government said. “Lessons must be learned” from Thursday’s fatal accident in the Diecai Mountains, it said.
