Guangzhou girl, 13, jailed by man as sex toy
A 13-year-old girl who was locked up in an attic in Guangzhou in southern China for 15 months and was molested and raped repeated has been rescued.
The girl, identified as Minmin, was freed by police from her confinement -- a ten-square-meter attic in the house of her abductor, a 41-year-old man surnamed Chen, the local Nanfang Daily reported today.
Chen has been detained by police and will be charged of abduction and rape. Minmin said Chen pretended to be a computer repairman and invited her to play computer at his home. The girl was a school dropout. Her parents were divorced and she was living with her ill father before abduction.
"He didn't have a decent job and always stayed at home," the girl said. "He would lock the door when he went out."
Minmin is now living with her uncle because her father died last December after she disappeared and her mother left home eight years ago and has never come back.
"I want to go back to school," Minmin told the newspaper. But she has a problem to enter a school because her parents didn't get a marriage license and didn't register her residence.
