SALES of live poultry have been halted in south China’s Guangzhou over bird flu concerns.
The ban, from today to February 28, aims to prevent the spread of human H7N9 infections. Markets have been ordered to be cleaned and disinfected.
Human cases have been reported in the city and nearby areas this year.
