HK chief executive hit by LSD demonstrators

HONG Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive Donald Tsang was attacked by some demonstrators from LSD (League of Social Democrats) yesterday. Tsang suffered some pain in his chest but no fracture or organ injury.

A 25-year-old man was later arrested by Hong Kong police for this attack and an official of LSD, Leung Kwok-hung, confirmed the arrested man was a LSD member, China News Service reported.

The incident occurred at about 4:45pm yesterday when Tsang arrived at the Hong Kong History Museum to attend a show opening. Some LSD members suddenly rushed at Tsang and threw things at him. Amid the chaos, someone hit Tsang in his chest. Tsang eventually escaped with help from security guards, with a hand on chest and looking painful.

Afterwards, Tsang went to a hospital for examination, but no serious injury was detected.
