Hangzhou urban management staff must have dog catching experience

APPLICANTS for urban management posts with the government of Hangzhou City, in neighboring Zhejiang Province, must have more than two years' experience in dog catching.

A local resident surnamed Zhu called the city's newspaper Qianjiang Evening News to complain about the requirement.

Zhu said her brother, a college graduate, wanted to apply for a post when the city started accepting applications last Saturday.

But he was discouraged after discovering the requirement that applicants must have a minimum of two years' experience in dog hunting or other work experience such as house demolition.
