Health bureau makes job promotion through lucky draw
DEZHOU City Health Bureau in each China's Shandong Province recently used lucky draw to select official candidates for promotion, claiming this method would guarantee fairness, China Radio reported today.
The Dezhou City government planned to form a food and drug inspection team. The health bureau was told to provide eight team members and each was entitled to a job promotion. As a result of this, many people in the bureau competed for the eight slots.
After a round of elimination, 48 candidates met the requirements and the health bureau decided to pick the final winners by drawing lots.
"This can prevent under-the-table deals," said Dong Huazeng, the office director of Dezhou City Health Bureau.
