Heavy rainfall forecast in many parts of China
HEAVY rainfall is expected to hit many parts of China in 24 hours from 8:00 am today, said the National Meteorological Center (NMC) today.
Heavy rainfall is forecast to sweep northeastern areas in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, southeastern areas of Gansu Province, the central part of Shaanxi Province, northeastern areas of Shanxi Province, western regions of Hebei Province, and the central western part of Sichuan Basin, the western and southern part of Yunnan, the southeastern part of Jiangxi, and the southwestern part of Fujian province.
The rainfall in the above regions is predicted to average between 100 and 120 millimeters. It will alleviate the continuous sweltering weather in northern China, according to the center.
