Henan teacher accused of molesting 10 girls
A 60-year-old teacher in a primary school in Henan Province was accused of molesting more than 10 third-grade girls, who were later found to have torn vaginas.
Xing Guofu, a teacher in Yaoji Village in Xinyang City, started to molest girls last September and threatened them to keep quiet, otherwise, they would be physically punished, victims said.
His actions came to light on April 9, when a mother surnamed Xu found injuries to her daughter's vagina while giving her a bath. The girl, 8, told her mother that Xing "always fondled her bottom in class," Henan Business Daily reported today.
The next day, Xu's husband was shocked when he learned other girls were molested. The outraged parents then took their daughters to a Luoshan County hospital, where tests showed they each had a torn vagina, the report said.
Police said Xing has been detained; however, parents were unconvinced because they never saw any documents concerning Xing's custody in the detention house.
Some parents said Xing's son was a local police chief, and that might be the reason why he may not have been detained, the report said.
