Hiker dies sudden death inside Beijing mountain
A male hiker is believed to have died a sudden death on Saturday when he was on an adventurous trip with several others deep inside a mountain near Beijing, the Beijing-based Legal Evening News reported.
At least four hikers, including this man, have died inside the Mentougiou Mountain this year, the report said.
Over 20 rescuers, including fire fighters and volunteers, joined in the search. It cost nearly 5 hours and a half for rescuers to finally take the body of the deceased, who was over 1.8 meters tall and weighed more than 90 kilograms, down to the foot of the mountain, according to the report.
One hiker was escorting the body of the dead man while other hikers had already left when the rescuers spotted them, the report said.
A rescuer reportedly told the newspaper that the team of hiker entered the mountain for a trip Saturday morning and they later received a call for help saying one of the hikers had turned unconscious and lost heartbeats and breaths.
