A total of 808 road accidents during China's three-day May Day holidays from May 1 to 3 killed 278 people and injured 973 others, the Ministry of Public Security said yesterday.
That was 1,193 fewer accidents than the same period last year, a drop of 59.6 percent, and 287 fewer people died, a fall of 50.8 percent, the ministry's Website said.
