'House Sister' owns 41 properties in Beijing
A former bank chief in Shaanxi Province, dubbed "House Sister" for owning more than 20 houses using four hukou or household registrations turned out to possess 41 properties in Beijing, totaling 9,666 square meters.
Beijing police said today that Gong Aiai, the deputy chief of Shenmu Rural Commercial Bank in Shaanxi, bought 10 of the 41 Beijing properties using fake hukou and these have been confiscated according to the law.
The seized properties include apartments, offices, retail and parking space totaling 1,945 square meters. Police also nullified her illegally obtained Beijing hukou.
Seven people in Shaanxi, Shanxi and Beijing have been arrested for helping Gong to obtain multiple household registrations, which gave her more than one personal identity.
Four police officers are among the arrested and they will face criminal charges, according to a statement by the Ministry of Public Security yesterday.
