POLICE yesterday closed the largest pornography Website found in the city of Dalian, capital of Liaoning Province in northeast China, Xinhua news agency reported.

The operator, surnamed Liu, has been detained.

The Website had stored 30,000 pictures and 2,000 movies and had registered 1,700 members since its launch three months ago, police said.

Police said Liu, a worker at an IT company in Dalian, has set up the Website in November, last year, for profit. He launched the Website with an overseas server.

Investigations are continuing.
