Hunan couple abducts girls into prostitution
A couple in central Hunan Province abducted young girls from Chongqing, western China and forced them into prostitution. Chongqing police recently rescued five girls and captured one of the couple, the Chongqing Morning Paper reported today.
According to police in Shizhu County, Li Yongbi and her husband Xu Dengliang controlled about 20 to 30 girls. Li confessed to police that she began to organize prostitution in February 2010 to pay family debts. She abducted the girls by promising them good jobs away from home.
The couple's account book showed that Li presented those girls as virgin to charge more from customers. In the first two weeks of this May alone they earned more than 1 million yuan.
Li was captured early this month, but her husband escaped with other abducted girls. Chongqing police are still hunting him.
