Hunan highway bureau chief probed for corruption

THE director of the Highway Administration Bureau of Hunan Province in central China has been held for investigation into his alleged corruption, Xinhua reported today.

Feng Weilin, 48, was led away by the Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, the corruption watchdog said on its website.

Feng's wife, who worked at the Hunan Public Security Bureau, was probed last year by authorities, also on corruption charges.
