Hungry stray dog saved after getting its head stuck in jar when searching for food inside

A homeless dog that got its head stuck in a jar has been saved in Taiwan, China News Service reported today.

The malnourished canine was having trouble breathing when it was found, the report said.

The dog spotted something in the jar and tried to get it because it felt hungry, an animal shelter volunteer surnamed Zhang was cited as saying.

The association uploaded pictures on social media, reminding people not to leave food in cans or jars for stray animals.
