PRESIDENT Hu Jintao visited the Japanese Embassy in Beijing yesterday to convey condolences for the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami.
Hu told Japanese Ambassador Niwa Unichiro that the Chinese people deeply felt the pain that the Japanese people are suffering.
China is helping with quake relief work and will continue to provide necessary assistance, Hu said.
