Infant falls 2 stories into arms of guardian angels
DRAMATIC images of two men catching a young child after he fell from a second-story window were released yesterday.
A man walking past a building during a thunderstorm in south China’s Guangdong Province spotted a baby who had climbed onto a window sill, local broadcaster Guangdong TV said.
In the footage he was joined by another bystander, and both threw up their arms in anticipation of the child’s fall.
Moments later, the infant tumbled straight into the men’s arms.
Reports on the incident, which happened on Sunday, said the boy was just a year old and had been looking for his mother.
“I didn’t think too much at the time. I was just afraid of failing to catch him,” one of the men, surnamed Li, said.
The video has created a storm on social media worldwide, with thousands posting comments.
“Wow ... that’s what I call a nice catch! That guy is a hero!” wrote one YouTube user.
