Integration set for take-off

CHINA is to advance civil-military airport integration to strengthen safety and combat capabilities.

The integration includes maintenance of support facilities, flight safety support and airport management, according to a joint circular by the PLA Air Force and the Civil Aviation Administration.

Lhasa Airport in Tibet and Sunan Shuofang International Airport in Wuxi will be the first pilot civil-military airports to implement the integration from the second half of this year, the circular says.
