Jailed murderer confesses to killing boy 18 years ago

A MAN in jail for murder has told police he and three others killed a boy in 1995 after they failed to sell him because he was "too smart," a newspaper reported yesterday.
Jiang Yunxian, who was jailed in 2009 for murder, in January told Yuechi County police in Sichuan Province that he and three others had killed a boy in 1995, West China Metropolis Daily reported.
One of the men had tricked the boy, saying they would take him to see his father, the paper reported.
The four decided to sell the boy in Fujian Province. However, the four-year-old remembered everything about his family and no one wanted to buy this clever boy during their stay in Fujian, the report said.
Afraid they would get caught, they drowned the boy in a river, the report said. After the boy was dead, they filled his backpack with rocks to ensure the body sank to the bottom of the waterway, the report added.
Jiang helped police find one suspect in Yuechi on February 16, the newspaper said. The other suspects were caught in March, the report said.
