Japanese man hurls flare at Chinese consulate in Fukuoka
A Japanese man was arrested for hurling a flare at the Chinese Consulate General in Fukuoka City last night, a Chinese consulate official said, adding that there was no one injured and no property loss in the incident.
The man, identified by Japanese police as Kensaku Nakahara of Omuta in Fukuoka Prefecture, was arrested on the spot for allegedly violating the minor offenses law after he threw the flare into the premises of the consulate general of China in the southwestern Japan city's Chuo Ward at around 11:05pm yesterday, said Huang Ting, an official with the consulate.
On Sunday evening, another Japanese man threw a piece of burnt paper with the Chinese national flag printed on into the Consulate General, and there was no property loss in the incident, Huang added.
The police are investigating the incidents.
