Jewelry worth millions of yuan stolen in Hunan smash-and-grab

TWO men who grabbed jewelry valued at millions of yuan after riding up on a motorcycle and smashing a display case yesterday evening are being sought by police in Loudi City in central China’s Hunan Province.

The men, wearing motorcycle helmets and carrying guns, broke into a jewelry store at Louxing District at around 8:25pm. They smashed the glass of a case and took the jewelry, fleeing on their motorcycle, authorities said.

No one was injured in the robbery, China News Service reported today.
