JIANGSU has become the first province to provide broadband Internet services to all its villages, the provincial communication administration and the Jiangsu division of China Telecom said yesterday.
Access for all 150,548 villages means that broadband Internet service now covers every corner of the province, said Gao Tong°?qing, general manager of the division. Gao said the company had invested 1.2 billion yuan (US$176 million) this year to upgrade its broadband network.
