Just 39 positive tests
OUT of 47,801 samples collected from more than 1,000 poultry markets, habitats, farms and slaughterhouses, 39 tested positive for the H7N9 virus, China's Ministry of Agriculture said yesterday.
All but one were from live poultry markets in Shanghai, neighboring Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, and east China's Anhui Province.
The other positive was a wild pigeon in Jiangsu.
