Kidnapped kids rescued
POLICE have rescued three kidnapped children and apprehended four suspects using DNA technology after a three-month investigation, the Dongguan Public Security Bureau said yesterday.
All three children, two boys and a girl, are from rural Dongguan in Guangdong Province. They were found separately in Guangdong and Hunan provinces this month, police said.
"The children were sent back to their parents after DNA verification," said a policeman.
The three were among several children aged six months to three years who have been kidnapped in broad daylight from Dongguan.
Police apprehended a 28-year-old male suspect surnamed Lu on April 15. They caught three other suspects from April 15 to 27.
The police told Xinhua there have been six reported kidnapping cases this year. So far, four children have been recovered.
Early this month, the ministry launched its sixth nationwide campaign to deal with human trafficking.
