Killer fugitive nabbed a day after police announced reward

THE youngest on the country's most wanted list was caught yesterday.

Bai Zhongjie, a 17-year-old boy from Guizhou Province, was nabbed one day after police announced a 50,000 yuan (US$73,833.5) reward for tips about his hideout, Guangzhou-based Nanfang Daily reported today.

He was the youngest of a five-member gang that robbed and killed taxi drivers in several cities in Guizhou since July 12. They also pretended to be taxi drivers to rob passengers. The other four were arrested by police on July 27.
