Killer of 8 people sought
POLICE are hunting for a man suspected of murdering his wife and seven others in a killing spree in northeastern China's Jilin Province, the provincial public security authorities said yesterday.
Jiang Chun, 48, is wanted by the Ministry of Public Security, which is offering 50,000 yuan (US$7,900) for information leading to the man's arrest.
Jiang is suspected of conducting the killing rampage in the town of Fumin, Huinan County, late Monday afternoon. The victims include a local family and a baby barely one year old, said Jilin security authorities.
Jilin police said they had no clue about the suspect's motive but stepped up search efforts to prevent him from hurting more innocent people.
