Killer on the run nabbed in Hunan
A MURDER suspect on the run was caught late on Monday after he visited a clinic and leaked his whereabouts, according to police in central China’s Hunan Province.
The suspect, Wang Wensheng, 47, is said to have used a cleaver to kill nine people, including his estranged wife, surnamed He, and injured four others on Saturday afternoon in Tianqiao Village.
The dead included a 4-month-old baby, Xinhua News Agency reported.
Among the injured, three of them were reported to be serious.
Wang fled the crime scene and managed to evade the police, until he visited a clinic, just 5 kilometers away from the crime scene, early on Monday morning.
Villagers recognized him immediately and reported to the police. At around 10:50pm the same day, police caught up with Wang at a villager’s home, Xinhua reported yesterday.
