THE family of a man who died after a live pig kicked him into a pool of boiling water at a slaughter house have received 300,000 yuan (US$43,880) in compensation. The victim, who was identified as Gu, went to the slaughter house in Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, last August for slaughtered pigs, the Guangzhou Daily reported yesterday. When he tried to pull a slaughtered pig to the boiling water pool he was kicked by the still-alive animal and fell in.
