Kindergarten principal sacked in abuse scandal

A kindergarten principal and an education official have been dismissed over a child abuse scandal in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the local government said on Friday.

The principal of a Haojiaqiao township kindergarten in Lingwu City, and the director of security at the Lingwu education bureau were sacked on April 29.

Teacher Huang, 53, sexually assaulted several girls in his office under the guise of tutoring when he worked for the kindergarten. The teacher was arrested on April 19 and the case is still under investigation.
