Knife attack on HK bus injures 12

A man stabbed passengers on a bus heading to Yuen Long in Tuen Mun, west of Hong Kong’s New Territories this morning. At least 12 people including the attacker himself were injured.

The man, sitting in the last row, suddenly cut several passengers on board with a kitchen knife at about 7am. The 57-year-old suspect was caught by police at the scene and investigators said he may have mental problems.

The bus is a tourist coach that was rented as a shuttle bus to pick up staff for a fruit company. The injured were all sent to the hospital.
