Landslide: 4 bodies recovered
RESCUERS in Taiwan have found four bodies and the wrecks of three cars following last Sunday's landslide that struck the freeway between Taipei and Keelung.
The Taiwan Freeway Administration announced yesterday that the bodies of two men and two women had been identified.
Rescuers are still searching for other buried victims. According to reports from relatives, at least one car and one person are still under the debris. The landslide crushed an overpass, clogging traffic on the freeway.
Road engineers, meanwhile, will conduct thorough checks of roadside mountain slopes to prevent further landslides, officials said.
