Landslide buries 59 in Chongqing
A LANDSLIDE buried 59 people in southwest China's Chongqing city this afternoon, local news Website cqnews.net reported.
The Jiwei Mountain in Tiekuang Town, Wulong County, collapsed and buried a mine and six homes.
The county hospital has sent eight doctors, three nurses, two controllers and three emergency vehicles.
Because the main road to the town was blocked by the landslide, the first-aid team was taking a longer route and was expected to arrive around 6pm.
