Landslide kills 3, 57 more missing in Yunnan
THREE people died and 57 others were missing when landslides hit a village in China's Yunnan Province last night, local government said today.
The landslides happened at Wama Village of Longyang District, Baoshan City of southwest Yunnan Province, the provincial government's emergency office said in a statement.
It said the area was home to 20 families of about 82 people.
Rescuers saved 11 of the villagers in time, while 11 others were working away from home and were therefore unaffected by the disaster, the document said.
