License hopes for the legless

THE Ministry of Public Security is seeking public opinion about whether disabled people without the use of both legs should be allowed to drive, Legal Daily reported today.

Revised plans for the application and use of driving licenses have been published today. Disabled people who cannot use their legs and people with hearing difficulties are among those hoping to get licenses under the new rules.

The plan also lists the automatic vehicles especially designed for the disabled.

Previously only disabled people who could use their left leg were allowed to apply for driving licenses.
