A TEACHER at a kindergarten in northwest China has been sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing 12 of his students.

A court in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region found Huang Zhenxin, guilty of “raping or molesting” his female students.

Police said he offered to tutor them on their homework before assaulting them.

In May, China executed a former primary school teacher for assaulting students.

Li Jishun was convicted of raping or sexually abusing 26 girls aged from 4 to 11 at a school in northwest China’s Gansu Province.

According to China’s Supreme Court, there were 7,145 cases of sexual abuse involving children in the 2012-14 period.

Nation
