Lottery sales open at KTVs

PEOPLE will be able to buy scratch-and-win lottery tickets from Tuesday at Shanghai's karaoke bars as KTVs will be allowed to offer other services, today's Oriental Morning Post.
Advertisements will be allowed to be aired during the breaks between songs, the report said.
Also from September, Shanghai's entertainment industry association will start collecting this year's musical copyright fees from KTVs at a rate of 6 yuan per day, the report said.
Last year, 22 karaoke parlors failed to hand in the fees, and 17 had been brought to court.
