Mad sister blinds siblings in macabre attack
A 21-year-old psycho who gauged the eyeballs of her younger sister and brother and cut of the boy's penis on Monday has been detained by police, waiting for a judicial confirmation of her psychosis, police said.
Their grandmother Liu Ronghua said she was sweeping snow outside their courtyard in a village near Linzhou City, Henan Province when Guan Ting suddenly locked the gate from inside, local Dahe Daily reported today.
After hearing the screams and cries of her 8-year-old granddaughter and 6-year-old grandson, Liu climbed over the wall into the courtyard and saw the two children lying in blood.
Their neighbor Li Dongfeng said Guan Ting committed the atrocity with a kitchen knife and a pair of scissors. The younger girl is still in coma due to trauma and excessive loss of blood, Li said.
Both children have been sent to a hospital in Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, for surgeries. Doctors said they had lost their eyes, the report said.
Their father said his eldest daughter was once a good student until she was diagnosed of bipolar disorder. Patients experience manic depression and disruptive mood swings.
