THE first batch of 100 prefabricated houses donated by south China's Shenzhen left Yantian Port last night for Taiwan's Kaohsiung County.
The structures, from Shenzhen city government, are worth nearly 20 million yuan (US$2.9 million).
In addition, China's Red Cross Society said yesterday that it will donate 6.85 million yuan to Taiwan for disaster relief construction following an earlier 15 million yuan contribution.
