Man, 23, too lazy to live

A 23-YEAR-OLD man starved to death in central China's Henan Province as, long spoiled by his parents, he was too lazy to work or take care of himself.

A movie is being made about the story to warn parents not to spoil their children, yesterday's Dahe Daily reported.

Yang Suo was found dead by his cousin Yang Deyu in December last year at his home in Luoshan County of Henan's Xinyang City.

The cousin said Yang was unable to work or take care of himself as his parents had never let him do anything for himself.

Yang's parents had given him the name "Suo," or lock, meaning to keep him at their side forever, the cousin said.

Yang's father even carried him everywhere on a shoulder pole rather than let him walk.

When he grew up, he had no skills or any desire to work. After his parents died, he begged for food and simply slept the rest of the time.

Actress Chen Shanshan learned about Yang's story and decided to make a film as a warning to other parents.
