Man, 63, molested girls at wife's kindergarten
A 63-YEAR-OLD man was detained by police in Langfang City of Hebei Province for sexually abusing about 10 young girls in an unlicensed kindergarten owned by his wife, local newspapers reported.
The man, surnamed Yang, was accused by the victims' parents of cutting the private parts of the young girls or even placing toothpicks in their vaginas. The unlicensed kindergarten has been shut down by local education authorities, reported Yanzhao Metropolis Daily.
The victims, who received injuries to the vagina and some of whom still had objects that had been placed in their bodies, were sent to Beijing hospitals for medical emergency treatment, the newspaper said.
A woman surnamed Zhao, the grandmother of one of the victims, told the newspaper she sent the girl to the kindergarten on July 2 but the girl complained of severe pain.
The girl told her grandmother that an elderly man put his fingers into her and told her not to tell her family, threatening her with a knife.
According to the newspaper, 10 parents have reported to police saying their daughters were sexually abused in the kindergarten. Six girls had gone through medical checks and three were found to have objects in their bodies.
The kindergarten has been ordered to make corrections in its unlicensed status.
